The increasing demand for sustainable and safer air mobility has rendered System Electrification and Digitalization pivotal drivers for future Small Aircraft’s competitiveness. Cleansky2 SAT project has researched how to overcome the limitations of traditional EASA CS-23 Category (Normal, Utility, Aerobatic and Commuter Aeroplanes) through the development and integration of innovative and cost-effective fly-by-wire flight control systems and electrical technologies. The video showcases the Aircraft-0 Integration Laboratory, a facility for testing critical systems like the electrical system, flight controls and landing gear. It features a hardware-in-the-loop flight simulation capable of subjecting each piece of equipment to realistic operating conditions and performing closed-loop testing, including pilot and sensors, for all flight phases in routine and emergency scenarios.
